Hello Everyone!

Hello Everyone,
I am Laura Luurtsema, I am now taking over the Woodsville High School JAG blog since Josh is busy. I am a 17 year old Junior at Woodsville High School. Here are some of the news that you missed out on. Our fellow classmates at Woodsville High School were recognized for their great academics for the first and second quarter. Congratulations to Travis Levreault, Sarah Hatch, Jordyn Tierney, Mathew Wright, Meghan Levreault, Rochelle Ladue, and Joe Towne for getting Honor Roll for the first quarter. Congratulations Hunter Harris, Travis Levreault, and Sarah Hatch for getting Honor Roll for the second quarter. In the first semester we held a Poetry Out Loud contest where Tyler DeCosta placed in second, congratulations Tyler. Also, I would like to congratulate Matt Latour for getting accepted into the National Guard and the University of Northwestern Ohio, also extend congratulations to Matt Wright for also being accepted into the National Guard. Last but not least I would like to congratulate Samantha Catterall on her acceptance to White Mountain Community College, and congratulations to Joshua Peart on his acceptance to Lyndon State College.

On December 15th, six representatives from our local businesses came to talk to us about what they do at their job, what they like/dislike about their job, what they look for when hiring employees, etc. It was a great experience for all of us, and it was a great turn out. We asked a lot of good questions, and they gave a lot of good answers. This was apart of the Wal-Mart grant that NH-JAG recieved.

Many kids are doing college tours, and we are having more guest speakers and more coming up soon! I will keep you updated.
Have a great day!!
